Promoting Participatory, Transparent and Accountable Governance in Shama and Prestea Huni-Valley District Assemblies of the Western Region of Ghana (LOGODEP Project)

Mobilized civil society groups and established Governance Issues Forum Network (GIFNet) and created platform for joint action and oversight in the implementation of development Action Plans of the Shama and Prestea Huni-Valley District Assemblies to ensure citizens demand for transparent and accountable governance from public officials at the local level.

Improved community participation in local governance and information sharing at local government level (bridged engagements gap between local government and communities for greater participation in decision making) increased mutual trust between the citizens the Assembly for responsive leadership.
