and products that enhance their economic and social endeavors and assist them to face challenging
situations with enthusiasm
OFFICE LOCATION
Our offices are located at Agona Nkwanta, the capital of Ahanta West District in the Western Region and New Abirem in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region, Ghana.
OLIVES seeks to empower the rural poor and disadvantaged by providing the means, strategies and products that enhance their economic and social endeavors and assist them to face challenging situations with enthusiasm.
OLIVES is a registered member of the United Nations' Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations of the Department of Public Information (DPI). Our work is geared towards supporting the attainment of the United Nation's Millennium Development goals:
Goal 1: Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
Goal 3: Promote gender equality and empower women
Goal 6: Combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other diseases
Goal 7: Ensure Environmental Sustainability

What We Believe In

To empower the rural and disadvantaged persons, especially women, through the provision of livelihood skills and entrepreneurial training.

To promote health in vulnerable communities by improving sanitation and hygiene and providing health education to combat malaria and sexually transmitted infections.

To build the capacity of target farmers in agricultural improvement practices to promote yield and ensure food security while sustaining the environment.
