1,045 community food vendors and drinking spot” operators (986 females, 59 males) trained in personal health/hygiene, food hygiene and environmental hygiene/sanitation geared towards enhancing their services to their patrons.

2,746 community/group members made up of 1,810 females and 936 males (inclusive of 223 school pupils: 114 females, 109 males) trained in environmental sanitation/hygiene with emphasis on malaria and cholera infection and prevention and proper hand washing behaviors in the project communities.
1,325 community/group members comprising 809 females and 516 males (inclusive of 90 school pupils; 49 females, 41 males) were trained in HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs); their mode of transmission, symptoms, impact and prevention aimed at encouraging community members to live a responsible sex life.

236 commercial drivers and drivers of government institutions operating within the project area trained on road safety and defensive driving techniques aimed at reducing carnage on roads within the project communities.
